Plumbing service and repairs for San Diego homes and businesses

A dripping faucet, a shower that will not shut off and several backed-up drains need different repairs. John Ciampoli Plumbing handles residential and commercial service throughout San Diego County. Start with what you can observe; inspection determines the cause, compatible parts and work needed.

Faucets, toilets, showers and shutoff valves

Tell us whether the fixture leaks during use or while it is idle, whether a handle is stuck, and whether you already have replacement parts. A cartridge, hose or drain connection may need attention without replacing the whole fixture. Compatibility and condition decide the repair.

Plan a fixture repair

Visible leaks, concealed leaks and water pressure

Report where moisture appears and whether one fixture or the entire property is affected. A wet cabinet, unexplained water use and low flow are observations, not a confirmed diagnosis. Share previous repairs so the technician can investigate the current symptom.

Leak detection and repair planning

Slow drains and recurring backups

Identify every affected sink, shower or toilet and mention any drain product already used. Repeated clearing does not establish that a pipe is sound. For water rising from several fixtures, stop using the affected plumbing and call about urgent service.

Sink reconnection and remodel plumbing in San Diego

A countertop, sink or vanity project can involve disconnecting plumbing before other trades work and returning to reconnect fixtures. Tell dispatch whether the plumbing is still connected or has already been disconnected, along with the project stage and site access, so the visits can be coordinated.

List what is staying and what is changing

Share fixture models, the proposed sink or vanity and any plan to move connections. Include a disposal, dishwasher connection, filtered-water equipment or second sink when present. Existing piping and replacement equipment need a compatibility review.

Coordinate the disconnect and return visits

Identify the person coordinating the trades, who authorizes work and how a shared water shutdown is arranged. Confirm when surrounding work will be ready under the installation instructions. Ask who handles any required permits or inspections for the proposed scope.

Agree on the final plumbing checks

Review the fixtures connected, the supply and drain connections tested and any work still outstanding. Ask when each fixture can be used again and who to contact if a concern appears.

A documented San Diego countertop project

Our team disconnected sink plumbing before the countertop work, then returned to connect the kitchen and bar-sink plumbing. The completed-job notes record functioning fixtures and no leaks during final testing. The countertops and cabinets were the work of other trades.

Completed plumbing repairs in San Diego

These service records show how the symptoms, parts and access affected actual work by our team.

A kitchen sprayer leak and an incompatible hose

The leak was traced to a crimped hose connection. An available replacement hose did not fit, so a customer-supplied faucet was installed and tested. This case explains why the faucet model matters before buying parts.

A toilet stoppage: clearing and checking the result

On September 19, 2026, our San Diego service notes record augering a clogged toilet, inspecting through the toilet with a small camera and performing repeated test flushes. The toilet cleared. Access to the units below was unavailable, so those areas were not inspected. A successful fixture test does not establish the condition of every connected drain.

Plan drain service and describe the affected fixtures

A pressure regulator and a coordinated water shutdown

On September 17, 2026, tenants at a San Diego property were notified before a water shutdown. Our technician replaced the pressure-reducing valve, restored water, checked connections for leaks and verified supply and pressure at several units. The pressure setting belonged to that installation; another property's readings and equipment need their own evaluation.

Understand water-pressure observations before choosing a repair

A condensate drain that needed access farther downstream

September 23 and 25 clearing attempts at a San Diego property did not reach the full blockage. A September 26 return visit provided access farther downstream. The technician cleared the line in both directions, reconnected the copper pipe and tested flow and connections. This record shows why access to another space and follow-up visits can be part of a drain repair.

Coordinate access and follow-up for a shared building

Before booking a plumbing repair

Can you repair a fixture instead of replacing it?

That depends on the fault, the condition of the fixture and the availability of compatible parts. Share its model and repair history if available. Ask what a component repair would address and what would remain if replacement is deferred.

How do I get an estimate for plumbing service?

Call dispatch with your ZIP code, affected fixtures and whether the problem is active. Ask about visit or diagnostic charges, access requirements, parts and the proposed scope before authorizing work. Photos help prepare the visit; they do not establish the final repair cost.

Do you work with property managers, HOAs and businesses?

Yes. Identify the person who can authorize service, the on-site contact and any shared water-shutdown requirements. Include access hours and known prior repairs. Tell dispatch whether tenants, neighboring units or business operations are affected.

Prepare your service request

Describe what you observe

Share the fixture, when the issue began, whether leaking continues and whether one unit or several are affected.

Confirm access and authorization

For a home, HOA or business, explain how to enter, who approves work and what notices are needed before a water shutdown.

Review the scope

Discuss availability, inspection, parts, costs and finish restoration before authorizing work. Applicable warranty terms belong in the proposal.
